Trademark Registration in Bahrain

In today’s competitive marketplace, establishing a strong brand identity is crucial for success. A registered service trademark not only protects your brand but also distinguishes your services from those of competitors. Our trademark registration service is designed to simplify the process, ensuring that your intellectual property is safeguarded. We provide expert guidance and support every step of the way, helping you secure your trademark efficiently and effectively.

1.Pre-Application Steps

   – Conduct a Trademark Search: Ensure your trademark isn’t already registered. We do this through the Bahrain Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) .

   – Determine the Class of Goods/Services: Identify the appropriate class under the Nice Classification for your trademark.

  1. Preparing the Application

-Applicant Details: Include the name, address, and nationality of the applicant.

   – Trademark Representation: Provide a clear representation of the trademark.

   – Goods/Services Description: List the goods/services for which the trademark will be used, classified according to the Nice Classification.

– Priority Claim (if applicable): If you have previously filed in another country, mention the date and country of that filing.

  1. Filing the Application

   – Submit the application to the MOIC.

   – Pay the required application fee.

  1. Examination Process

   – The trademark will be examined for compliance with Bahrain’s trademark laws. If there are objections, you may need to respond.

5.Publication

   – Once accepted, your trademark will be published in the Official Gazette. This allows others to oppose the Registration.

  1. Issuance of Certificate

   – If no oppositions are filed (or if you overcome them), you will receive a certificate of Registration.

  1. Renewal and Maintenance

   – Trademarks in Bahrain are valid for 10 years and can be renewed indefinitely for additional 10-year periods.
